What Is a Certified Green Professional™ Home Builder?

What Is a Certified Green Professional™ Home Builder?Cody Byrd, owner of Vision Design Build Remodel, is a Certified Green Professional™ home builder & remodeler. What does that mean, and why should you care?

The #1 goal at Vision Design Build Remodel is to make you, our client, happy. To that end, honesty, dependability, and professionalism are continually emphasized in all aspects of our company’s work. Cody Byrd has gone the extra mile to earn a variety of certifications and accreditations in the building industry. He is committed to improving the company and highly values professionalism in the industry.

The Certified Green Professional™ designation is awarded to home builders and remodelers across the country who have proven themselves to be adept at incorporating environmentally friendly practices and materials into their construction and remodeling work without increasing the cost of their services. The home builders who receive this designation are chosen by the NAHB (National Association of Home Builders).

How did Cody Byrd earn his status as a Certified Green Professional™? He took several classes that teach about principles of green building. Then he passed examinations, filled out several forms, and had all of his information verified by the NAHB. It was certainly not an easy process!

It is well worth it for you as a homeowner to choose a home builder that has been certified by the NAHB as a Certified Green Professional™. When a home builder has gone through the process of earning this designation, it means they have proven themselves to be able to build or remodel your home with you needs, the health of the environment and your bank account in mind. It’s a win-win-win situation for homeowners and our planet!
