It has given me great satisfaction this year to participate in several golf tournaments that served as fund raisers for the building industry. The money directly supports the education of students in construction-related fields. Increasing the number of high-quality trade professionals in our state and region is incredibly valuable to me as well as to my clients—it truly is GOLD!
The Caldwell County HBA (CCHBA) Golf Tournament raised money for vocational training. It rained all day at the Lenoir Golf Course, but even so we raised lots of money! This is exciting as I consider what it means for the future of our industry, and also because I’m the Golf Tournament chair for the CCHBA.
Each spring the Builder Classic Golf Tournament is held to raise funds for the North Carolina Home Builders Association (NCHBA) Educational and Charitable Foundation. These funds are used to provide scholarships to college students majoring in the rewarding field of home building. For the second year in a row my team received the coveted trophy for the President’s Cup Challenge. Click here to see me receiving the trophy.
